Danny Smith Softball/Baseball

Danny Smith Memorial Park is proud to offer Softball for ages 9 to 11. This recreational league will focus on the fundamentals of youth softball while further developing the player’s skills and understanding of the game. The division uses a combination of player pitchers and coach pitchers. This division will continue to address fundamentals (hitting, throwing, catching, and fielding) while incorporating a more advanced understanding of baserunning, situational plays, etc. Base stealing is allowed. Games are 6 innings or 1 hour 30 minutes. An 11-inch ball is used. The pitching distance is 35′. Base paths are 60′.
