This camp is offered for goalkeepers & field players ages 8-12, and 13-18 that wants to take their Goalkeeper & Finishing Skills to the next level! The  mission of the Bloomington Soccer’s Goalkeeper camp is  to offer professional training for all players at any skill level.  The design of the program is a fun, but challenging age appropriate environment aimed at players development.

Camp Location: Bloomington High School South (BHSS) & Binford Elementary School if Needed.

Camp Date: May 30th, 31st- June 1st, 2nd 2023

Every Player Receives: A GoalKeeper Glove Bag/Field player shoe bag & Camp T-Shirt

Ages 8 – 12: will play from 2:30 PM-4:30 PM, The Fee GK is $150.00

Ages 13 – 18: will play from 9:00 AM-2:00 PM (break 11:00AM-12:00PM) The GK Fee is $299.00

Full-Day Ages 10 – 18: will play from 9:00 AM-4:30PM (break 11:00AM-12:00PM & 2:00 PM-2:30 PM) The GK Fee  is $425.00

Field Player: will be placed into age groups according to skill level. The Fee is $125,  call or email me for details if you have questions on age groups or placement. The Fee for full-day field player is $175.

Eligibility: Camp is open to all participants 8-18, pre-college. NCAA Legislation allows high school graduates to attend camp.

The camp will focus on an array of instruction teaching techniques to take their training & in-game performance to the next level:

  • Specialized sessions that focus on detailed specifics of the position with ample time to execute the exercise for on hand learning and instruction takeaways
  • Specific technique and instruction driven events that specialize in Tactical, Technique and Moments of game scenarios
  • Strength and conditioning drills to help improve performance for explosive movements at a moment’s notice.

Success  of a Goalkeeper & Field Player: requires a wide array of athletic skills; namely power, quick reflexes, great body control, quickness, fitness, endurance, and agility all working together to form proper techniques that are all critical for the success at the  position.

Goalkeepers:

  1. Become a coach on the field, a goalkeeper who effectively organizes & directs his or her teammates from an optimal viewpoint to exude confidence and becomes a true leader.
  2. Proper Technique for all elements of distribution; Throws, Roles, Punts, Goal Kicks, Free Kicks to have the required passing skills and tactical awareness to make correct decisions under pressure and be an effective first line of attack
  3. How to Communicate effectively and efficiently with your teammates

Field Players:  

  1. Players who attend this camp will leave with a better range of techniques and the ability to score more goals. Over the course  of the week our curriculum covers all aspects of shooting from the driven (power) shot, to the bending ball, to one touch finishing, lobbing, volleying, finesse, penalty kicks, and set pieces.
  2. Players  are placed in different situations (with/without pressure) and in different areas of the field ( in front of goal, wide of the goal, back to goal, top of the box etc) so that they get to experience shooting “in the moment”!
